This therapy is something a little bit different.

My approach is not always just talking, although there is a lot of talking that happens.

We also go deeper with exploring your feelings and beliefs (which might not not yet have words), using chatting, visualization, soma (body-based), movement, art & drawing, roleplay, and dreamwork.

My work is about being curious and aware; companioning and cheering for you as you go deeper into exploring your self, and all the mysterious, buried, marginalised and forgotten aspects.

Traveler, your footprints
are the only road, nothing else.
Traveler, there is no road;
you make your own path as you walk.
As you walk, you make your own road,
and when you look back
you see the path
you will never travel again.
Traveler, there is no road;
only a ship’s wake on the sea.

What is Process Oriented Psychology?

Process oriented psychology (aka Processwork or POP) embraces what is, instead of thinking that something else should be happening. Of course, it can be hard to trust what is happening, especially if it contributes to our suffering or goes against our plans. But in Process Work we find that beauty, richness, and meaning (as well as solutions, inspiration, and creativity) can come out of unfolding what is. This idea has its roots in the ancient Chinese concept of the Tao, as well as the teachings of C.G. Jung.

Processwork, developed by Dr. Arnold Mindell, is a rich and varied way of perceiving the world, people, and groups.  It is an awareness practice that helps us to notice and follow what is happening.

What is Somatic eco psychotherapy?

This is an experiential counselling approach that recognises the deep connection between body, psyche, relationship, and the natural world. Drawing on mindfulness, somatic awareness, eco-psychology, and relational process work, this approach supports people to reconnect with their inner experience while also exploring how healing can occur through relationship with place, nature, community, and embodied presence. Somatic Eco Psychotherapy honours the wisdom held within the body and nervous system, helping clients gently work with trauma, stress, grief, identity, belonging, and life transitions in a grounded and holistic way. Sessions may include reflective dialogue, body awareness, mindfulness practices, imagination, symbolism, and attention to the therapeutic relationship, creating space for greater self-understanding, resilience, and connection.

What is Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)

NET is a trauma-focused counselling approach developed to support people who have experienced multiple or complex traumatic events, including refugees, survivors of violence, abuse, displacement, war, and chronic adversity.

NET helps individuals gently reconstruct their life story within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, allowing traumatic experiences to be processed and integrated rather than remaining fragmented or overwhelming. By connecting memories, emotions, bodily responses, and personal meaning, NET can help reduce symptoms of trauma while strengthening identity, resilience, and a sense of continuity in one’s life.

Therapy proceeds at a pace that prioritises safety, grounding, and emotional regulation, honouring both the pain people have endured and the strengths that have carried them through.

In sessions, you bring a challenge, conflict, or curiosity, and I help you explore it to gain deeper awareness, which may or may not lead to specific changes or actions, depending on the issue.

I don’t work with active substance use or eating behaviours that pose immediate life risks, acute suicidality, or life-threatening crises. If you're unsure, please reach out for a quick chat.
